In thermodynamics, exergy is the amount and quality of useable energy available to do work in a given system. This principle embodies our mission: enabling organizations and talent to reach their maximum potential to do impactful and meaningful work.
My path to executive search came through two decades of operating at the intersection of frontier technology and growth strategy: as an advanced programs engineer at Aerojet Rocketdyne, as an investor leading corporate venture teams at GE Ventures, Boeing HorizonX, and Hanwha, and as a founder building companies in cleantech and industrial AI.
That unique combination of technical depth, investor diligence, and founder empathy is what sets Exergy apart. I've seen enough company lifecycles, conducted enough deep dives, and built enough teams to know that finding transformative talent in deep tech requires someone who can truly understand what they're looking for.
I only take on searches where I'm genuinely interested in both the sector and the company, and where I can method-act my way into the founder's seat, asking myself "if this were my company, who would I hire and how would I find them?" The result is bespoke, thesis-driven searches that find the needles in haystacks that others miss.
